Capresso

Your water will come to a boil in a quick and graceful fashion with the 1.5 quart Capresso H2O Plus. This electric kettle cordless unit is a looker, with its all-glass pot, high capacity and stainless steel accents.

Capresso Kettle

The Capresso H2O Plus electric kettle cordless unit features a German-made heat-resistant Schott glass pot. It is beautifully shaped and allows you to see all the action taking place inside as the kettle does its job. It is clearly marked with minimum and maximum indicators to allow for accurate and convenient filling. It is also designed to minimize drip, by employing a dome cap top which enables evaporated water to slide back down to the pot, away from the dome top. The beautifully finished stainless-steel dome is a breeze to clean and keeps the heating element out of sight. The Capresso electric kettle is more efficient and inherently safer than any stove top kettle. For additional safety, the Capresso electric kettle cordless unit is equipped with a power switch with a supporting blue indicator light that illuminates when the unit is in use, and turns itself off when the kettle is pulled away from its base or when the unit shuts off upon reaching boiling. The electric kettle cordless unit sits snugly on its base, and can swivel in any direction to accommodate both right and left handed users. The base additionally offers cord storage to allow you to neatly hide that power cord when the unit is not in use. The impressive glass pot is accented by a polished chrome finish on the domed lid as well as on the comfortable handle. The handle has been designed to resist slipping, and this effort is aided by a textured underside to support a secure grip. The Capresso electric kettle cordless unit is powered by a 1500 watt heating element, and the unit measures 6.25 by 8 by 9 inches. The Capresso H2O Plus carries a one-year limited warranty.

People have remarked that the Capresso electric kettle’s major selling points are, in no particular order: its elegant looks, particularly with the transparent glass pot that enables you to see the water bubbling and coming to a boil; its efficiency: the water reaches boiling point rather quickly – a full quart takes about 4 minutes, which is considerably faster than stovetop kettles used on the average home stove top; its silent operation: the Capresso does its job without at boiling water well while at the same time muffling the bubbling noises associated with boiling water.

Some concerns about the Capresso kettle design include: the need to open the lid to ensure easy pouring of the water; the blue indicator light is not prominent enough that it renders itself of little use; when the unit is new, the water sometimes has a foreign taste, though this seems to dissipate after a few boils. Additionally, some have remarked that the screws holding the handle in place became loose for them, and they weren’t able to tighten it. In those cases, however, they were able to return the unit under warranty and receive a replacement unit with no issues.
