Now here is an appliance that serves not only as a tea maker but also as an alarm clock. Imagine it wakes you up in the morning and it has prepared a hot cup of tea for you. All you have to do is get up and reach for the tea. Now I find that much more effective at waking me up than a conventional alarm alone.
In essence the Micromark Tea Express is an electric kettle cordless appliance mated to an alarm clock in a neat little package that you can keep on your bedside table. The device has well thought out safety features. First, it has a sensor that prevents the unit from beginning the heating process if your mug is not there. Second, the heating element will disengage once the water has reached boiling point.
The kettle itself is a concealed unit housed inside the appliance. When the water in the kettle begins to boil, steam is generated and the pressure forces the water out into the pot, or in this case into the mug that eagerly awaits its morning allotment of hot water. Note that the hot water doesn’t arrive in a steady stream; rather, it gets there in pulses so your tea gets a good mixing.
You could also use this appliance in the kitchen, the breakfast area or anywhere else where you could use a good cup of tea. You can set the alarm for certain times of the day, and so long as the money is in place, you’ll get your tea fixed. This sealed electric tea kettle is handsomely made, all white, with a dark LED clock display. The top of this appliance sports a decent light which could be used to illuminate its immediate area, allowing you to read and drink tea when you are next to it, without having to call upon the room’s lighting system. Call it your personal lamp.
This sealed electric kettle cordless appliance provides you with six buttons which serves the following purposes: the first button sets the clock time; the second turns on the light; the third commands it to immediately begin boiling water if you so choose; the fourth sets the timer to determine when the boiling water should be ready post alarm; the fifth allows you to suppress the boiling water feature, and simply have the unit behave like a stand-alone alarm clock; the sixth sets the alarm clock itself.
So how does this whole thing work? To start, lift the top and remove the filler cap. Fill the internal teapot with fresh water then replace the cap and lid. Make sure that you do not overfill the unit.
Once you have filled the unit with water, you may instruct it to begin the boiling process by pressing the third button. It will take fewer than five minutes, typically around three minutes for the water to begin boiling and start its journey towards the mug/cup.
Of course, you may also set the unit for automatic tea making. To do so fill up the internal kettle with water, then set the alarm time and use the fourth button to tell the unit when to make the hot water available. Given that it takes a few minutes for the water to boil, this feature will ensure that your cup will have its hot water by the time the alarm starts to chime.
All in all, this is a rather convenient device that allows you to save some time in the mornings while at the same time ensuring that you will get up. And who could resist the smell of fresh tea in the morning?
